Gautam Kumar has extensive experience in commodities trading with a focus on oil and derivatives. Currently serving as part of the Derivatives team at Vitol since November 2023, Gautam previously worked as an Oil Derivatives Trader at Glencore from June 2018 to July 2023 and as an Oil Trader at Goldman Sachs from July 2010 to February 2018. Gautam's expertise includes derivatives trading in refined products and crude oil, underpinned by strong fundamental analytics as a subject matter expert in global oil supply and demand. Gautam began the professional journey as a Summer Analyst at Louis Dreyfus Commodities in 2009. Gautam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Studies from Yale University, earned between 2006 and 2010.
