Michael Lin

Michael Lin is a seasoned professional in the grains trading sector, currently serving as Head of Grains at Vitol since February 2023. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Head of Wheat Trading at Avere Commodities S.A. from October 2017 to February 2023. Michael's extensive experience also includes being a Global Wheat Trader at COFCO Agri and a series of roles at Louis Dreyfus Company, where responsibilities ranged from Senior Research Analyst to Trader and Junior Merchandiser. Michael began the career as a Grains Trader Trainee/Research Analyst and held an internship as a Cotton Trader. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Chinese from Dartmouth College and has also studied at Beijing Normal University.
