Samuel Lai

Samuel Lai is a seasoned human resources professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various multinational corporations. Currently serving as the Head of Human Resources Asia at Vitol since July 2020, Samuel has previously held significant positions such as Head of HC Management & Services for the Asia Pacific Region at Oliver Wyman and Manager of Human Resources Asia at Anglo American. Earlier career stages included serving as Regional Human Resources Advisor at BHP Billiton Marketing and as a Recruiter/Account Specialist at Randstad. Samuel began their professional journey as an Associate Accountant in Audit & Assurance with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Fontys University of Applied Sciences, an MBA from IESE Business School, and a Certificate in Leadership for Strategic Impact from Singapore Management University.
