Simon Beevers

Simon Beevers has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the network and technology industry. Simon has worked as a VP of Network R&D at Vitrifi since 2024, driving network solutions and participating in industry forums. Prior to that, Simon represented Vitrifi Limited and other companies on the LINX Programme Committee at the London Internet Exchange. Simon has also served as a volunteer at the Bramshall Working Group, focusing on resident consultation and representation. In terms of technical roles, Simon has worked as a System Engineer at Juniper Networks, providing technical consultation and selling sophisticated products and solutions. Simon has held network architecture and IP architect positions at Glide UK and Optify Media Force, leading the design and development of network infrastructure. Simon's earlier experience includes roles at Plusnet, Allurian, Griffin Internet, and Network Defence LTD, where they provided network support, project management, and technical assistance.

Simon Beevers has a diverse education history in the field of IT and engineering. Simon began their education at The Brooksbank School, where they obtained A Levels in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, as well as AS Levels in Business Studies and General Studies. Simon then pursued a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Liverpool from 2003 to 2005.

In 2006, Simon attended Liverpool Community College and earned the CCNA certification, becoming a Cisco Certified Network Associate. The following year, they attended Wigan and Leigh College and completed the MCSA certification, becoming a Microsoft Certified Server Administrator.

Simon continued their education in the field of IP and networking at Systems & Network Training in 2010. Simon obtained three certifications from this institution, including LAIT 1, LAIT 2, and LAIT 3, which are LINX Accredited Internet Technician certifications.
