Joshua Hayes has worked in various roles since 2007. Joshua began their career as an Accountant at Fifteen Foundation (Australia) and then moved to Woolworths Supermarkets as a Manager in 2008. Joshua then worked for Page Personnel as an Accounts employee in 2012. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Mechatronics Engineering Student at Curtin University, where they were awarded three commendations for academic performance by the Board of Examiners and achieved a course weighted average of 79.66%. During this time they also worked on various projects, including a framework for tracking of upper-limb motion using machine vision and auxiliary fiducial visual makers, an ATmega2560 micro-controlled search & rescue robot, mathematical modelling and ground truth of solar powered cart performance, an automated real-time PLC production line with SCADA integration, and an analogue autonomous line following robot. In 2015, they were a Vacation Research Student at the CSIRO. Since 2020, they have been a Software Engineer at Vitruvian. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at Motion Design Ltd (NZ) from 2017.
Joshua Hayes completed a High School degree at Carey Baptist Grammar in 2008, obtaining a Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). Joshua then went on to Central Institute of Technology, where they finished an Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering in 2013. Finally, they attended Curtin University, graduating with an Engineer's Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering in 2016.
