Steven Frohlich

Head of Cloud Architecture at VitruvianMD

Steven Frohlich has worked in several roles since 2014. In 2014, they were a Biomedical Equipment Technician at Netcare, where they performed supervised work within the hospital technical department. From 2015 to 2017, they were an Engineering Intern at Poynting Group, where they worked on antenna design and manufacturing, as well as creating a system that could infer the inner temperature of a Concrete Battery Enclosure. During this same period, they also worked on the factory floor to help construct and test various company products. From 2017 to 2019, they were self-employed, working as a Lecturer's Assistant and Assistant Lab Manager. Most recently, since 2020, they have been the Head of Cloud Architecture at VitruvianMD.

Steven Frohlich received a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2016. Steven also received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the same university in 2016. In 2017, they began their Master of Science (MS) in Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand, which they completed in 2019. In addition, they obtained certifications in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2016, an Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2019, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty certifications from AWS in 2022.
