Monika Aretz

Monika Aretz has extensive work experience in human resources and leadership roles. Monika is currently the VP People & Culture at VIU Eyewear since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the HR Director at Joyn GmbH from May 2020 to July 2021, where they led a team of 7 HR professionals and oversaw various HR operations. Before that, they served as the HR Director at Red Bull from January 2011 to April 2020, where they led a team of 8 HR professionals and managed HR operations for a workforce of over 550 employees. Monika also gained experience at Boston Consulting Group as a Career Development Coordinator from September 2008 to December 2010, and at K.O.M. Managementberatung as a Human Resources Consultant from January 2008 to August 2008. Monika started their career at Continental as a Human Resources Specialist from September 2006 to December 2007.

Monika Aretz holds a Diplom-Kauffrau (FH) degree in Wirtschaftswissenschaften from Fachhochschule Aachen. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications as an Agile HR Manager from HR Pioneers GmbH in March 2021, and as a 300 (+75) Hours Certified Teacher from Jivamukti Yoga School in February 2020.
