Dimitris Makris is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product management, corporate development, and engineering. Currently serving as Senior VP of Product & Growth and Senior VP of Corporate Development at Viva.com since March 2015, Dimitris has played a crucial role in driving company transformation and strategic goal alignment. Prior experience includes roles such as POS Product Director at Viva.com, Managing Partner at AVECO OETE where Dimitris championed renewable energy initiatives in Greece, and Head of Product Management at hellas online. Academic contributions as a lecturer at Piraeus University of Applied Sciences further highlight Dimitris' commitment to education in object-oriented programming and database principles. With a strong engineering background, including development of web-based applications for the Greek Army and participation in significant EU research projects at the National Technical University of Athens, Dimitris holds both a Dipl. and a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the same institution.
