Steve S. has over 30 years of work experience in the Information Technology field. Their most recent position was as the Executive Director of IT/IS at VIVA HEALTH, where they started in 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director Of Information Technology at VIVA HEALTH from 2018 to 2022. Steve also held various leadership roles at UAB Medicine, City of Clay, Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, and Beggs & Lane. Steve has experience overseeing and managing all aspects of IT, including application development, infrastructure, and desktop support. Steve's expertise extends to strategic planning, cost management, and setting direction for IT departments. Steve began their career as a Systems Analyst at ERC in 1989 and has since worked in similar roles at CAP GEMINI AMERICA, WRL & ASSOCIATES, and COMPUTER TASK GROUP. Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated a strong ability to streamline systems for efficiency and optimization, validate ROI/TCO, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Steve S. has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from DeVry Institute of Technology, which they obtained from 1988 to 1990. In addition, they hold a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, which they completed from 2013 to 2015. Steve also has several certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, ITIL V3, and a Business Research Certificate Program from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
