Melissa Faletra

Melissa Faletra has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Melissa started working at Sandia National Laboratories as a Summer Intern in 2011, where they conducted research on mathematical network and diffusion models. Melissa utilized MATLAB to develop mathematical models simulating network manipulation and public opinion propagation to educate the public on electric vehicles.

In 2011, Melissa also started working at the University of Vermont as an Undergraduate Student Researcher, continuing their research from Sandia National Labs. Here, they developed a mathematical model for network manipulation and opinion propagation on online social networks, using MATLAB.

At the University of Vermont, Melissa also held positions as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, working with ME fluid mechanics lab and ME first-year design experience classes. Melissa assisted in setting up lab exercises, introducing students to them, supervising and assisting students, grading homework and lab reports, and providing extra help to confused students. Melissa worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on a UVM NSF Smart Grid IGERT PhD Program, from June 2012 to June 2014.

In 2015, Melissa joined ARA as an Engineer, where they worked until 2018. Finally, in 2018, they began working as a Sales Engineer at Vivantio and continues to work there.

Melissa Faletra holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering (Fluid Mechanics) from the University of Vermont, which they obtained in the years 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, from 2008 to 2012. Melissa'ssecondary education was completed at Scituate High School, where they obtained their High School diploma between 2004 and 2008. Melissa also successfully passed the FE exam (EIT) in October 2011, earning the certification. The institution from which the certification was obtained is not specified.
