David Keating has extensive experience in finance and senior management roles. David began their career in 1991 as a Financial Accountant with Grafton Group plc, a builders merchants with 400+ employees. David then moved to Pegler & Louden Ireland in 1995, where they were the Finance Director and Company Secretary of a distributor of industrial valves and actuators with 50+ employees. In 2000, they took on the role of Head of Finance for Retail - Retail Business Analyst with Tesco Ireland Ltd. From 2001 to 2009, they were the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer of the Carraig Donn Group, a private group of companies with 250+ employees. In 2009, they began their own consulting business, David Keating Consulting. From 2010 to 2013, they held an Interim Group Financial Controller role with Uniphar PLC, where they were the financial lead on the re-structuring of the former IPOS Pharmacy network of stores. In 2015, they completed an interim assignment as Group Financial Controller in Applegreen plc, a leading operator of retail and fuel service stations in Ireland and the United Kingdom. From 2016 to 2017, they completed an Interim Senior Finance Role with Greencore Group plc during the acquisition of Peacock Foods. Most recently, from 2017 to present, they have been the CFO of Vivasure Medical, a highly innovative medical device company based in Galway, Ireland. In this role, they are responsible for financial management and reporting, legal and company secretarial, and supply chain functions, and has been organizing the financing of the company including raising EIB Venture Debt, securing Horizon 2020 grant aid and issuing multiple convertible loan notes.
David Keating's education history includes completing a National Certificate in Business Studies from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology between 1982 and 1984, a B.Comm in Business and Accounting from the University of Galway between 1984 and 1986, and an ACA in Accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland between 1986 and 1990. David also attended St Joseph's College Galway (The Bish) between 1977 and 1982.
