Nicolai Kristensen

Nicolai Kristensen is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in research and teaching in the field of economics. Currently serving as a Professor at VIVE – Det Nationale Forsknings- og Analysecenter for Velfærd since July 2017, Nicolai has held various prominent positions, including Professor MSO at KORA and Research Program Director at KORA, Danish Institute for Local and Regional Government Research. Previous roles include external associate professor at KU and research programme director at the Danish Institute for Governmental Research. Nicolai's academic journey began with a Cand. Oecon degree from Aarhus University, followed by a PhD in Economics. Throughout a career that spans consulting for the World Bank and Cowi AS, Nicolai has contributed significantly to the understanding of welfare and regional governance issues.
