Matthew Frohbieter

Matthew Frohbieter is a skilled construction inspector and materials tester at VIVID Engineering Group Inc., specializing in road and bridge construction quality control and materials testing since April 2022. As the owner of Black Dog Geological Services since March 2022, Matthew brings extensive geological and geotechnical expertise from over a decade at Newmont Mining Corporation, where roles included Senior Geotechnical Engineer, Lead Geotechnical Engineer, and Geotechnical Engineer III. Responsibilities encompassed managing geological operations, slope stability analysis, and developing safety policies and procedures across multiple mining sites. With a Bachelor of Science in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, earned in 2010, Matthew began his career with internships and as a laboratory technician, building a strong foundation in geology and engineering.
