Baskar Nammalwar Ph.D.

Baskar Nammalwar has a extensive work experience in the scientific research field. Baskar is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Vividion Therapeutics, Inc. since October 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Scientist II at Blacksmith Medicines from January 2022 to the present, and as a Senior Scientist I from January 2021 to February 2022. From 2015 to 2021, they worked at Forge Therapeutics, Inc., where they held the positions of Senior Scientist I, Research Scientist II, and Research Scientist I. Before joining Forge Therapeutics, Inc., Baskar worked as a Research Scientist and Assistant Research Professor at Oklahoma State University from May 2010 to 2015. Baskar also gained experience at Jubilant Biosys and Aurigene Discovery Technologies as a Scientist, and at Sanmar Group as an Officer R&D.

Baskar Nammalwar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Loyola College, which they earned from 1998 to 2001. Baskar then pursued a Master's Degree in Applied Chemistry from Anna University, completing it from 2001 to 2003. Following that, they embarked on a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program with a focus on Computer Science at Periyar University, which they completed from 2003 to 2005. Baskar furthered their academic journey at Bharathidasan University, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Chemistry from 2003 to 2005. Lastly, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from Oklahoma State University, a rigorous program that they successfully completed from 2007 to 2010.
