Sr. Director, Clinical Biomarkers at Vividion Therapeutics

Marielena Mata has extensive experience in the field of clinical biomarkers and companion diagnostics. Marielena is currently working as the Sr. Director of Clinical Biomarkers at Vividion Therapeutics, Inc. starting from 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Pfizer as the Senior Director and Diagnostic Lead from 2017 to 2023, where they led the development and commercialization efforts of companion diagnostics. Marielena Mata has a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, which they obtained from 1993 to 1999. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1993, they completed their B.A. in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In 1989 to 1990, Marielena studied Biology at the Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Bolívar, although no degree is specified.
