Ela Kuester

Ela Kuester has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Ela began their career at NOWADAYS GmbH in 2006, where they worked in fashion show management until 2009. Ela then worked as a freelancer, specializing in fashion design, fashion styling, and fashion show management from 2009 to 2011. In 2011, they joined Vivienne Westwood, starting as a designer for Red Label Japan Womenswear until 2014. Ela then worked their way up, taking on roles such as designer for womenswear, senior designer for womenswear, and design manager for womenswear and menswear. Ela currently holds the position of Head of Design RTW at Vivienne Westwood.

Ela Kuester began their education in 1995 at Elsik High School, where they completed a year-long YFU Exchange program. Ela then attended Gymnasium Hechingen and graduated with an Abitur in 1998. In 1999, Ela pursued a Foundation degree in Art and Design / Fashion at Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London. Following this, from 2000 to 2004, they studied Industrial Design / Fashion at Universität der Künste Berlin, earning a degree in 2004.
