Elizabeth (Chmelo) Kemp

Elizabeth (Chmelo) Kemp has over 10 years of experience in the health and wellness industry. Elizabeth began their career in 2007 as a Senior Exercise Coordinator for Wake Forest University's Healthy Exercise and Lifestyle Programs (HELPS). In 2009, they joined Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist as a Program Manager and Assistant Project Manager. In 2015, they moved to Salemtowne Retirement Community as the Director of Life Enrichment. In 2017, they returned to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist as the Clinical Research Manager. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Vivo, a Techstars portfolio company, as the Director of Research and Customer Outcomes. Throughout their career, Elizabeth has managed the creation and implementation of strategic visions, developed policies and procedures, facilitated evidence-based wellness programs, created program content and accompanying materials, maintained websites, and recruited research participants.

Elizabeth (Chmelo) Kemp has an extensive educational background. Elizabeth began their studies in 2001 at Elon University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Exercise Sports Science in 2005. Elizabeth then attended Wake Forest University Graduate School, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Health and Exercise Science in 2007. Following that, they attended Wake Forest School of Medicine, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Clinical and Population Translational Science in 2010. Elizabeth is currently attending Wake Forest University Graduate School, where they are pursuing a Masters of Healthcare Leadership, which they are expected to receive in 2022. Additionally, they hold a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP) certification from the American College of Sports Medicine.
