Michele Pierro

Michele Pierro is a highly experienced professional in biomedical engineering, currently serving as the Director of Technology Development and Principal Investigator at Vivonics, Inc. since February 2016. Michele's expertise includes program management, technical leadership, and innovative product development, with notable contributions as the PI for the DOD-funded IPASS program, focused on non-invasive intracranial pressure assessment. Prior experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at Abiomed, where Michele led algorithm design for heart pumps, and research positions at Tufts University, where advanced signal and image processing algorithms were developed. Michele holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree from Politecnico di Torino, underscoring a strong academic foundation complemented by extensive research and clinical trial experience.
