Russell Witham

Russell Witham has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Russell began their career as an Executive Editor at Technician, where they led a team of 150 members as the Editor-in-Chief of a student newspaper. Russell was responsible for content decisions, quality control, and managing print deadlines.

In 2010, Russell joined Russell Investments as an FX Quantitative Analyst. Russell worked independently and as part of a small development team, utilizing regression-based statistical methods and Java programming to model market behaviors for a FOREX trading firm. Russell developed a signal generation and trading application for foreign currency pairs, handling large historical and real-time time series data.

At Fidelity Investments, Russell held multiple roles starting in 2011. As a Software Engineer, they developed enterprise-scale retirement value calculation engines using Java and scripting languages. Russell also led the product management and design of a web-based platform for associate continuing education and knowledge retention. Later, as a Senior Data Analyst, they conducted independent analyses for client-directed research projects and introduced new Python tooling for executive reporting on client data characteristics.

From 2016 to 2020, Russell worked at Bridgewater Associates as a Technical Lead for Data Engineering/DevOps. In this role, they led the development and operations of data engineering projects.

Currently, Russell is working at Vivun as the General Manager - Product. Vivun is a leading provider of PreSales software, and Russell is responsible for driving growth efficiently by scaling technical selling efforts and maximizing R&D investments. Russell also aligns Sales with Product teams and de-risks deals. Prior to this role, they were the Lead Product Manager at Vivun.

Overall, Russell has a strong background in product management, data analysis, software engineering, and editorial leadership.
