Alejandra Serna has worked in a variety of roles in the communications and marketing industries. From 2006 to 2016, they worked at Norwegian Cruise Line as an Intern, KWE Group as an Intern, PPR Communications as an Account Executive, Burson-Marsteller Miami as an Associate in the Technology Practice, Zakarin PR as a Publicist, Florida Grand Opera as a Public and Media Relations Manager, Univision Communications Inc. as a Social Media Community Manager in Entertainment, and BodenPR as a Senior Account Executive. In 2016, they joined Vizcaya Museum and Gardens as the Director of Marketing, where they developed and implemented marketing, communications and media relations strategies to promote the museum's mission, vision and core values. Alejandra also developed and implemented marketing strategies for annual fund, membership, fundraising events and other fundraising programs. Additionally, they managed relationships with local and national media representatives and maintained a media clipping database. In their role as Digital Communications Manager, Alejandra led all digital marketing initiatives, including social media, e-mail marketing, influencer relations, and digital advertising. Alejandra also recruited local influencers to create content for the promotion of various museum initiatives, spreadhead video content, and managed social media advertising.
Alejandra Serna attended Florida International University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a degree in Public Relations with a field of study in Communications.
