Wendy Wolf began their career in 1999 as the Curator of Education at the Lowe Art Museum, University of Miami. In this role, they developed, implemented and managed all educational and public programming for the museum with nine permanent collections plus approximately ten temporary exhibitions annually. Wendy also supervised and managed the volunteer Docent Guild and coordinated and delivered graduate level teacher training in partnership with the School of Education.
In 2005, Wolf became an Adjunct Lecturer at Florida International University.
In 2006, Wolf joined Vizcaya Museum and Gardens as the Chief Engagement Officer. Wendy was later promoted to Deputy Director for Learning and Community Engagement, where they led community engagement and interpretive projects at Vizcaya and supported the revitalization of the Vizcaya Village to accommodate expanded learning programs and the transition of visitor arrival necessary to welcome the museum’s more than 300,000 annual visitors. Wendy also supervised admissions operations, and developed museum school collaborations, professional development programs for teachers, and volunteer and intern programs with rigorous training and ongoing continuing education components.
Wendy Wolf holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Art History from Connecticut College and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Art & Museum Education from The University of Texas at Austin.
