Jonathan Wakim

Jonathan Wakim, MD, MBA, currently serves as Senior Director of Data and Digital for New Ventures at Vizient, Inc., a position held since October 2024. In addition, Jonathan is a Startup Judge for MedTech Innovator and a member of the Advisory Board for the MedVR Symposium & Hackathon for VR/AR in Healthcare. Previously, Jonathan worked as Principal at LionBird and Director of VC at MD+, focusing on empowering future physician-innovators at the intersection of technology, business, health policy, and life sciences. Highlights of Jonathan's prior experience include serving as President and VP of Strategy for Penn HealthX, conducting research at the Penn Image-Guided Interventions Lab, and participating as a Venture Fellow at Rock Health Capital. Jonathan holds an MBA in Healthcare Management from The Wharton School and an MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Florida.
