Matthew von Wellsheim

Matthew von Wellsheim has extensive experience in information technology leadership roles. Matthew is currently the SVP and Chief Information Officer at Vizient, Inc. Since 2016, they have held various roles at Vizient, including Senior Vice President and CIO. In this position, they have provided leadership in implementing business systems and computer technology, managed infrastructure, and directed strategic objectives for Vizient's IT department. Prior to Vizient, they worked at Alcon Laboratories, Inc. for over a decade, where they served as Vice President and CIO. Matthew held multiple management positions at Alcon, contributing to global information technology development and automation initiatives. Before that, they worked as a Systems Analyst at ARCO Oil and Gas Company in 1991.

Matthew von Wellsheim has a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Stephen F. Austin State University, which they obtained from 1984 to 1987. In 1999, they also completed the MIS Harvard Executive Program at Harvard Business School.
