Gavin Sheridan has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2002, they began blogging on their own blog, "Gavin's Blog", mainly about politics and technology. In 2003, they became an Editorial Intern at the New Statesman. In 2006, they became a Journalist at the Irish Examiner. In 2010, they were the first employee at Storyful, where they developed core methodologies and techniques for UGC monitoring, identification and verification. In 2014, they became a Member of the Advisory Board at Eagle Alpha, the leading provider of insights from the Web to Wall Street. In 2015, they were a Co-Founder at Vizlegal and a Member of the Technology Advisory Board at the International Criminal Court.
Gavin Sheridan attended the University College Cork from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in History and Politics. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from the Milltown Institute, Dublin, from 1998 to 2000.
