Dr. Jan PERHAC

Principal Scientist and Lead Developer at Vizzio Technologies

Dr. Jan Perhac has a strong background in research and development, particularly in the fields of data visualization, virtual reality, and urban planning. Dr. Jan currently serves as the Principal Scientist and Lead Developer at Vizzio Technologies Pte Ltd since August 2021. Previously, they held various roles at ETH Zurich, including Project Leader and Principal Investigator from January 2019 to July 2021 and Senior Researcher and Project Coordinator from January 2018 to December 2018. At ETH Zurich, Dr. Perhac led the Collaborative Interactive Visualization and Analysis Laboratory (CIVAL) group and worked on projects such as "Singapore Views" and "Cooling Singapore." Dr. Jan also contributed to the development of the "Natural Capital" project. Prior to their time at ETH Zurich, Dr. Perhac worked as a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University, where they implemented augmented and virtual reality projects for medical procedures and training. Dr. Jan also conducted research at the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, focusing on software development for image processing and holographic visualization. Before that, Dr. Perhac served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at NTNU, where they specialized in high-performance computing and distributed systems. Dr. Jan began their career as an Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Kosice. Dr. Jan Perhac's work experience highlights their expertise in data visualization, virtual reality, and urban planning, as well as their strong publication record.

Dr. Jan Perhac pursued their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Informatics from 2006 to 2009 at the Technical University of Košice.
