Michael Harfoot is a seasoned ecological modeller and conservation analyst with extensive experience in studying ecosystems and their responses to human activities. Currently serving as a Scientist at Vizzuality since March 2022, Michael previously held the position of Lead Ecosystem Scientist at UNEP-WCMC from September 2010 to May 2022. Additionally, Michael contributed to ecosystem research as a Research Fellow at Microsoft Research from September 2010 to January 2014, focusing on the development of the Madingley General Ecosystem Model. Michael holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, awarded in 2007, specializing in biogeochemical influences on atmospheric chemistry.
