Sergio Estella

Sergio Estella started their career as an Art Direction Intern at Sportec Information Technology in 2000. Sergio then worked as an Art Director at Atlántida, Synapsis Digital, and Shackleton Group from 2002 to 2005. In 2006, they joined Semiótica Estudio as an Online Lead Designer. From 2010 to 2013, Sergio worked as a Professor at Universidad Francisco de Vitoria. In 2009, they founded Simbiótica, a creative digital agency focused on web application development for conservation and transparency. Since 2014, Sergio has been the Chief Design Officer and co-founder of Vizzuality, where they set the visual and interaction direction for their products using their expertise in data visualization and information design.

Sergio Estella's education history begins in 1994 when they attended IADE Escuela de Diseño. Sergio studied interior design at this institution until 1999. In 1995, they enrolled at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and pursued a degree in Bellas Artes, specializing in design and applied arts. Sergio completed this program in 2000.

Lastly, in 2019, Sergio attended the MIT Sloan School of Management to study innovation and entrepreneurship. Although the degree obtained is not specified, it can be assumed that Sergio attended this institution for a short period of time during that year.
