Michiel Verhamme

Michiel Verhamme holds extensive experience in communication and legal advising, currently serving as the Head of the Communication Department at Vlaamse Milieumaatschappij since April 2022. In this role, Michiel Verhamme oversees the overall vision, strategy, and planning of VMM communication, managing various aspects such as digital communication, campaigns, and internal communication. Prior to this, Michiel Verhamme spent nearly two decades at UNIZO, where responsibilities included leading integrated marketing communication efforts, coordinating first-line advice for entrepreneurs, and managing legal advisement related to economic and commercial law. Academic qualifications include a Licentiate in Law from KU Leuven and a background in Latin-Mathematics from Sint-Jozefinstituut Kortrijk. Additionally, Michiel Verhamme contributed to academic settings as a guest lecturer in economic law at Vlekho (HU Brussel).
