Bert van Nuffelen

Bert Van Nuffelen is a seasoned expert in data interoperability and semantic technology, currently serving as a Data Interoperability Expert at Digitaal Vlaanderen since January 2024. Previously, Bert held a significant role at TenForce from March 2011 to December 2023, contributing as both a Semantic Technology & Data Interoperability Expert and a Semantic Technology Software Architect, where the focus was on designing data and system architectures for Linked (Open) Data projects. Prior experience includes a position as a Senior Knowledge Engineer at Mission Critical from 2005 to December 2010 and extensive research as a PhD researcher at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven from 1998 to 2005, specializing in Knowledge Engineering. Academically, Bert earned a PhD in Knowledge Engineering from KU Leuven and a Master in Science of Engineering Computer Science from the same institution, complemented by an Erasmus exchange program at RWTH Aachen University.
