Seppe Vansteelant

Seppe Vansteelant currently serves as the Data Protection Officer and Team Coach at the Bureau for Digital Security at Digitaal Vlaanderen, where oversight of a team of over 20 professionals in data protection and information security is provided. Previously, Seppe held roles as a Data Protection Consultant at Digitaal Vlaanderen, including positions at Het Facilitair Bedrijf and athumi, focusing on secure data exchange initiatives. Before joining Digitaal Vlaanderen, Seppe coordinated data governance projects and served as the first Data Protection Officer for the city government of Ghent, ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation. Seppe's education includes multiple Master’s degrees and preparatory courses in Law, EU Studies, and History from Ghent University, with ongoing studies towards a Master of Laws.
