Tony Vanderstraete

Tony Vanderstraete currently serves as Hoofd Vlaamse Digitale Strategie at Digitaal Vlaanderen, where responsibilities include developing a forward-looking digital policy in collaboration with strategic partners at all policy levels, both nationally and internationally. Previous roles at Digitaal Vlaanderen include Afdelingshoofd Digitale Strategie en Transformatie and Programmamanager Digitale Strategie en Transformatie, focusing on guiding Flemish entities toward achieving business goals through digital transformation projects. Prior to this, Tony Vanderstraete held various positions at Informatie Vlaanderen, including Program Manager for the Kruispuntbank.Vlaanderen and Team Leader of MAGDA, contributing to the government data ecosystem and successful data sharing platforms. Experience also includes working as an INSPIRE domain expert for the European Commission and serving as a research assistant at Ghent University, where a PhD in Geography, specializing in remote sensing, was earned.
