Kathleen Smolders

Kathleen Smolders is an experienced professional in the fields of innovation support and materials chemistry, currently serving as an Adviseur Innovatiesteun at VLAIO - Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship since August 2023. Prior experience includes founding Oxylium Consulting and working as an Innovation Consultant from May 2021 to July 2023, as well as roles as a Business Developer and Valorisation Manager at UHasselt's Centre for Environmental Sciences. Previously held positions include Senior Engineer at Sirris and Innovation Consultant at Innovatiecentrum Limburg (B), where contributions spanned from innovation consultancy to project management. Kathleen holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from KU Leuven, complemented by a foundational education at Humaniora Virga Jesse.
