Martin Butler

Martin Butler is currently the MBA Academic Director and Professor of Management Practice at Vlerick Business School since January 2023. With extensive experience in executive education and academia, Martin has served as a Virtual Faculty member at USB Executive Development since 2007 and held the position of Head of Learning and Learning & Digital Consultant at Agri Technovation South Africa for a brief period in 2022. Martin's previous roles include Non-Executive Director at ExperiCo Agri-Research Solutions and Associate Professor as well as Head of Teaching and Learning at the University of Stellenbosch Business School, where significant enhancements to the MBA program occurred under Martin's leadership. Early career experience includes project management roles at ESI and QData, and contracting project management for notable organizations. Martin holds a PhD in Business Administration and Management, an MBA in Project Management, and a BEng in Electronics from Stellenbosch University and the University of Pretoria.
