Forrest Bowling

Forrest Bowling, PhD, is a Scientist at VLP Therapeutics LLC since January 2023, with previous experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where characterization of the Arabidopsis monolignol biosynthesis complex was conducted using structural biology and biochemical techniques. Academic involvement includes roles as Graduate Career Association Secretary and Treasurer at Stony Brook University, planning meetings and speaker series to support graduate students, and teaching undergraduate laboratory classes. Forrest Bowling earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Stony Brook University in 2020 and a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2016. Additional experience includes internships at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division and the University of Maryland, Baltimore, focusing on chemical reactions and analytical techniques.
