Jason Crain

Jason Crain is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law, representing emerging growth companies, entrepreneurs, and investors. Currently serving as a Partner at VLP Law Group LLP since February 2023, Jason offers expertise in corporate matters, commercial contracts, employment, equity compensation, capital raising, and M&A. Prior roles include Of Counsel at Smith Shapourian Mignano PC, Owner of the Law Office of Jason D. Crain, General Counsel and CFO at Dharma, and Senior Counsel at Perkins Coie LLP. Jason has also held positions as General Counsel and CFO at Say Media, Inc., a managing associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, and as a JAG officer in the United States Navy. An accomplished legal scholar, Jason holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, a Master's in Operations Research from Stanford University, and a Bachelor's in Marine Transportation and Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
