Bernardo Starosta

Bernardo Starosta has a long history of experience in the technology industry. Bernardo began their career in 1993 as a Business Development Manager for SGI. In 1999, they joined EMC as Regional Manager for the Media Solutions Group. In 2002, they became the Centera Business Manager for EMC, introducing the Centera CAS Storage to the Latin America market. From 2006 to 2010, they served as the Latin America Sales Manager for the Data Protection business line at EMC, achieving a run rate of US$32M in 3 years. From 2010 to 2013, they were the Cloud Advisory and GRC lead for EMC Consulting. In 2013, they founded and served as General Manager of VM2020 Solutions, executing the go to market strategy for the EZDR product. Also in 2013, they were a Presenter and Award Winner at Maker Faire Rome, receiving the Maker of Merit Award for the development of an Open Source controlled Stationary Hybrid Generator.

Bernardo Starosta obtained their MS in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 1983 and 1985. Bernardo also obtained their degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Power Systems from the Universidad Simón Bolívar between 1977 and 1982. Bernardo also attended Moral y Luces, though no degree was obtained.
