Jose Almonte has over 30 years of experience in the IT industry. JOSE began their career in 1987 as a Technical Support Engineer at IBM, where they tested and developed processes and modeling of large-scale mainframe computers. In 1994, they joined EMC, where they held various positions, including Global Services Leader - Partner, Escalation Manager, Divisional Technical Director, Regional Technical Manager, Regional Technical Specialist, and Technical Support Specialist. In 2016, they became Support Manager at VM2020 Solutions. Throughout their career, Jose has been responsible for end-to-end escalation management, managing diverse technical teams, diagnosing complex computer problems, creating complex configurations, writing procedures and specifications, providing technical support, and teaching classes and seminars.

Jose Almonte received a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from SUNY New Paltz in 1996. JOSE also attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2001 to 2002 and earned a Unix, C, C++ Graduate Certificate Program. In addition, they received over 500 hours of EMC-sponsored training in Oracle, Unix, Networking, EMC products, and Managerial Skills from 1994 to 2014. Lastly, they received over 300 hours of IBM-sponsored training in C Programing, UNIX, Assembly Language, Computer Architecture, and Fiber Optics from 1987 to 1994.
