Rutger Poppe

Rutger Poppe currently serves as a Software Engineer PMT at VMA since March 2023. Prior to this role, Rutger worked at ABB Robotics Solutions (formerly Intrion) from April 2015 to March 2023, starting as a Service Engineer focused on maintenance and interventions in automation systems, and later advancing to a Support Engineer position. In this capacity, Rutger managed projects from inception to completion, including optimizing and refurbishing industrial components, troubleshooting existing installations, creating procedures and manuals, and supporting clients with automation processes. Earlier experience includes a technical role at Van der Spek, maintaining and intervening on concrete plants and mobile crushing and screening installations. Rutger holds a Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Industrial Automation from KU Leuven Ghent Campus and a Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanics from KAHO Sint-Lieven.
