David Oakland Faia

David Oakland, FAIA, is a founding principal and owner of VMDO Architects, a position held since June 1976. With a focus on higher education, Oakland leads the design of buildings that enhance academic and student life, emphasizing purpose, thoughtfulness, and exceptional quality. Oakland earned a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree from the University of Virginia between 1971 and 1978.
