Tim became CEO of VMLY&R Detroit in 2019 – leading the launch of the office. He drives the strategic vision, growth and operations including teams in Detroit and Kalamazoo, Michigan. Tim oversees the collective of people working with VMLY&R’s long-standing partner Ford Motor Company, and serves as the global lead on strategy and innovation for Ford, working in partnership with VMLY&R leaders across North America, Asia-Pacific, EMEA and Latin America, as well as other global WPP partners.
He brings extensive experience both as an agency and client leader in areas including strategic business and brand growth, operational integration and client partnerships. He has been instrumental in expanding VMLY&R’s global brand, customer and retail experience capabilities and business expansion.
Tim has brought together a talented, multidisciplined team including designers, engineers, strategists, creators, technologists and business leaders with a common passion for problem solving through human-centered design to drive business and brand growth. The team is bringing its talents and unique capabilities to working with Ford and diversified clients including General Dynamics Mission Systems, Walmart, Bell’s Brewing and Hunter Engineering Company, and is continuing to grow the breadth of VMLY&R’s business portfolio.
In addition to his role at VMLY&R, he finds time for one of his personal passions: local social services. He supports a variety of local and regional community service organizations focused on helping families and senior citizens.
Tim appreciates time spent with his family, is a passionate college basketball fan and loves to fish. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and holds a Bachelor degree in Marketing & Transportation.
