Hüseyin Fatih Akar

Hüseyin Fatih Akar has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Hüseyin Fatih worked at VMRay as a Security Product Manager, where they led product initiatives and established the roadmap for expanding the detection capabilities of VMRay Analyzer. Hüseyin Fatih also managed integration processes with security products and maintained active communication with security vendors. Additionally, they oversaw the development of Email Threat Defender, an email security product.

Before that, Akar worked as a Security Solutions Engineer at VMRay, where they supported sales strategies by developing briefings, demos, proposals, and conducting integrations and issue resolution for VMRay's security portfolio. Hüseyin Fatih directly communicated with global enterprise customers to translate security objectives into technical requirements and managed the technical agenda of accounts.

Prior to VMRay, Akar worked at Yıldız Holding as a Security Engineer, where they administered and monitored SIEM and EDR, created reports on organization-wide security posture, and managed a network security monitoring project.

Hüseyin Fatih also gained experience as a Research Assistant at Binghamton University and as a Security Analyst at Turkish Airlines, where they worked on various projects related to network security, SSLv3 turn off, and evaluation of cybersecurity services and products.

Throughout their career, Akar has demonstrated their ability to lead and manage technical projects, communicate effectively with clients, and contribute to the development of security products and solutions.

Hüseyin Fatih Akar has a Master of Science - MS degree in Applied IT Security from Ruhr University Bochum. Prior to pursuing their master's degree, they completed their undergraduate education at Binghamton University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Information Systems. Before that, they earned another Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Information Systems Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. In addition to their formal education, Akar has also obtained various certifications, including PMC Level I from Pragmatic Institute, Cyber Security On Critical Infrustructures from Information Security Institution, and Scada Exploitation from Octosec.
