Alexander Eichhorn

Alexander Eichhorn is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in subsurface technology and project management in the energy sector. Currently serving as Lead Engineer for Subsurface Technology at VNG Gasspeicher GmbH since June 2022, Alexander has previously held key roles including Performance Engineer for Asset Management at Storengy - ENGIE and R&D Project Manager at UGS GmbH, where responsibilities included managing underground hydrogen storage projects and overseeing technical planning for gas storage cavern leaching processes. Early career experiences at RWE involved project management for open lignite coal mine optimization. Alexander Eichhorn holds a Dipl.-Ing.
