Joe Duy Phan

Joe Duy Phan has a diverse range of work experience in the field of data center facility management and project management. Joe Duy started their career as a Project Engineer at Azbil Vietnam co. ltd in 2006. From 2009 to 2014, they worked as a Facilities Manager at Viettel Network, where they led a team of engineers and was responsible for operating and maintaining the facilities of a data center.

In 2014, Joe joined Viettel Burundi S.A as the Director of MEP cum. DC Manager. In this role, they oversaw projects related to electro-mechanical field, data center, and network infrastructure. Joe Duy was involved in project planning and coordination, as well as resource scheduling.

In 2017, Joe moved on to edotco Group as a Project Manager, where they were responsible for co-location projects with power in Myanmar. Joe Duy managed project activities, technical planning, and coordination, as well as daily operations and maintenance tasks.

Currently, Joe works at VNG Corporation as the Head of Data Center Facility. Joe Duy leads a team of facility management professionals and is responsible for the facilities at three data centers. Their responsibilities include managing operational activities, overseeing facilities capacity planning, and leading infrastructure projects.

Throughout their career, Joe has gained certifications such as PMP®, CDCP®, CDFOM®, which demonstrate their expertise and commitment to the field.

Joe Duy Phan has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical, Electronic, and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. Joe Duy also holds several certifications, including PMP® (Project Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute, CDCP® (EPI Certified Data Centre Professional) from EPI - Enterprise Products Integration Pte Ltd, and CDFOM® (Certified Data Centre Facilities Operations Manager) from EPI - Enterprise Products Integration Pte Ltd. Additionally, Joe has obtained certifications in Generative AI Overview for Project Managers from the Project Management Institute and Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) and Accredited Operations Specialist (AOS) from the Uptime Institute.
