Linda Hutchinson

Director of Quality Assurance & Certification at Voatz

Linda Hutchinson has over 30 years of work experience in the technology industry. Linda began their career in 1987 as a Senior Quality Engineering Manager at Lotus Development. In this role, they were responsible for all testing of the Lotus Notes software on multiple client/server platforms, and grew the department to 100 employees. In 2002, they became a Quality Engineering Architect consultant at BrassRing, where they were the technical project leader for the KenexaBrassRing SaaS recruiting solution. Linda then moved to IBM in 2006 as an Advisory Software Engineer, where they devised and led new test methodologies for BrassRing Kenexa SaaS recruiting software. In 2015, they became the Director of Quality Engineering at Clear Ballot Group, where they directed all testing of the ClearVote voting system and achieved the fastest ever initial US federal certification. Most recently, in 2019, they became the Director of Quality Assurance & Certification at Voatz, where they direct testing of the Voatz mobile voting platform used by 1.9 million voters in local or federal elections and political conventions.

Linda Hutchinson has a Bachelor's degree in IMJR from the University of Connecticut. Linda also has a Certificate in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from The Commonwealth Institute, obtained in 2000-2001. In 2018, they obtained a Certificate in Cyber Risk Management from Harvard Kennedy School. Additionally, they have obtained three certifications, Board Ready BootCamp from Mass Technology Leadership Council in October 2020, Blockchain User Certification from Blockchain Educators in January 2019, and Cyber Risk Management from Harvard Kennedy School in November 2018.
