Butler Bushyhead's work experience starts in 2009 at Life Measurement, Inc. where they worked as an Independent Researcher, analyzing data trends and performing competitive analysis. In 2010, they held positions at Lexy Inc as a Content Manager and at Lexy as an Intern. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Production Assistant at KGO-TV and then transitioned to KGO TV in 2012 as a Production Assistant - News. In 2013, Butler took a sabbatical to recharge and learn coding before attending Dev Bootcamp as a Graduate in 2014. After completing the program, they joined 2K as a Production Assistant for a few months before starting their role as a Software Engineer at ZEFR in 2015. At ZEFR, they developed features for micro services and took the lead in implementing a new ETL process. Lastly, in 2019, Butler joined Vobile as a Software Engineer and was later promoted to Senior Software Engineer in August 2021.

Butler Bushyhead attended The Branson School from 2001 to 2005 and obtained a High School diploma. Following that, from 2005 to 2009, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and History at the University of Puget Sound, graduating with a B.A.
