VOCAL-NY
Mariah McGough is the Director of Communications at VOCAL-NY. Prior to this, Mariah held various communications roles at Everytown for Gun Safety, gaining experience as a Communications Associate and Communications Assistant. Mariah also worked as a Communications Intern at Parents and Youth for Change and as a Leadership and Communications Assistant at Local Motion (VT). Mariah previously served as an Assistant Teacher at EDUCATION CONNECTION. Mariah graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Communication in 2017.

VOCAL-NY is a grassroots membership organization working to create healthy and just communities by building power among people affected by HIV, drug use, mass incarceration, and homelessness. We do this through community organizing, leadership development, participatory research, policy advocacy and direct action with the belief that true social change must come from the bottom up and be led by those most directly impacted.
