Carla Jacobs

Carla Jacobs has extensive work experience in the field of cyber security and information technology. Carla is currently working as a Principal Cyber Security Specialist at Vodacom, where they focus on the execution of cybersecurity strategies. Prior to this, they held various roles at BCX, including Senior Specialist and Senior Manager, where they were involved in security business development and managed network and security services. Before joining BCX, Carla worked as the Chief Information Security Officer at CSIR, a research institution. Carla also gained valuable experience at Eskom as a middle manager responsible for information security and investigations. Carla started their career at Accenture as an Information Security and Risk Specialist before joining Telkom S.A., where they served as a team leader for data centre networks and security.

Carla Jacobs obtained an Honours in BSc Computer Science from the University of Pretoria, completing their studies from 2001 to 2005.
