Shivan Maharaj has a diverse work experience spanning different companies and roles. Shivan started their career as an Article Trainee, completing a CA internship. Shivan then worked as a Financial Accountant, where they managed financial reconciliations and analyzed monthly results.
Moving forward, Shivan joined MTN as a National Operations Manager, responsible for managing sales call centres and the MTN Online store to ensure a seamless customer sales experience. Shivan also handled stock and warehouse management to support channel growth and facilitated monthly partner operations engagement sessions for improvement.
After their tenure at MTN, Shivan joined Huawei Technologies as a Senior Channel Sales Manager. Shivan successfully achieved revenue and volume targets on the MTN account, expanded sales channels, and planned GTM and in-trade activities.
Later on, Shivan transitioned to Vodacom, where they served as a Principal Specialist in Fixed and Mobile Operations. Their responsibilities included managing product and hardware, supporting the enterprise business in tender responses, and guiding sales teams on device-related matters and future planning.
Most recently, Shivan joined HONOR as the Commercial Lead for the Vodacom Account. In this role, they lead the sales team and is responsible for building relationships and partner agreements with key Vodacom partners to drive sales through their distribution network.

Shivan Maharaj completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2003. Shivan then went on to pursue a B.Comm Honours in Accounting and Finance at the same university, starting in 2005.
