Joakim Reiter

Group External Affairs Director at Vodafone

Joakim Reiter is currently the Group External Affairs Director at Vodafone. Prior to this, they served as the Deputy Secretary General of UNCTAD and Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations. In this role, they were responsible for contributing to the successful implementation and conclusion of UNCTAD14 in Nairobi in 2016, as well as overseeing a number of change projects at UNCTAD, including communications, result-based management, and donor relations.

Before their work with UNCTAD, Reiter served as the Deputy Director-General and Head of International Trade Policy at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Sweden. In this role, they were responsible for Sweden's trade policy, market access, trade negotiations with third countries, and corporate social responsibility. Joakim was also the Swedish representative to the Trade Committee of the OECD and Chairman of the WTO Working Party on the Accession of Liberia.

Joakim Reiter has a Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Lund University.
