.Josh & Eli met and became great friends during their undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins. Josh proceeded to earn his PHD in Chemistry from Columbia before working as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Illinois.
When Eli began working on his new path forward for batch brewing, Josh was the first person he called. A flight to San Francisco was quickly booked to help validate the idea and build the initial prototype. Using chemistry inspired processes to maximize and optimize extraction, Ground Control was born.
Josh soon made the move to San Francisco to launch the company, and now heads R&D while overseeing our production and customer success efforts.
